I’m Nina. Born in Kabul, raised in Berlin, with a few years in Nairobi and many more in New York and Miami before finding my way back to Berlin. Momena is my middle name.

I started Nina Momena because I love jewelry, but not the preciousness—or the prices—that often come with it. I wanted pieces you could actually live in and afford.

And “Earn the shine”? You’ve done the work. You’ve earned the shine.

Everything is made by hand in Berlin, in limited runs or made to order. I work mainly with stainless steel because it’s water and tarnish resistant, hypoallergenic and low-maintenance. Swim in it. Sweat in it. Forget to take it off.

I like mixed metals, unexpected combinations and pieces that layer, adjust or can be worn more than one way.

I make every piece myself, take the photos and pack every order. You’ll see me wearing the jewelry here, along with friends, family, and other people I like. It’s a small operation. And I like it that way.

10% of every sale goes to EEV/Eden, an orphanage in Kinshasa, DRC, that I’ve supported for years, helping with food, school fees and a safe home.

I wear what I make and I make what I want to wear.
